Agreed, the color stories are stunning!
Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palettes are one of my go to eyeshadow formulas. Not only do the shade ranges flatter my medium skin tone, they also have formula that is extremely blendable and long wearing. Plus, each palette tells a differently neutral color story!
I own eight full size Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palettes - a couple have been provided as press samples, the rest I purchased on my own. They're versatile and flatter my medium skin tone. Spoiler: The Naked3 eyeshadow palette is one of my favorites - maybe it has to do with it being my first Naked eyeshadow palette or because I really enjoy rose tones.
I have several individual reviews of each palette and will link them below but wanted one central piece focused on sharing swatches of each of the Naked palettes. I personally find swatches as one of the helpful pieces before purchasing eyeshadow palettes, especially seeing makeup swatches on a skin tone similar to mine.
We do so much of our shopping online and it's helpful to see numerous reviews of products including demos, in depth reviews, swatches, etc. Below you'll see swatches of every single Urban Decay Naked Palette in my collection.
Some of these eyeshadow palettes have been discontinued but I kept the swatches here in case you're interested in the color story and finding an alternative that shares a similar theme to the discontinued eyeshadow palettes.
I like to prime my eyelids with concealer or an eyeshadow primer like the Urban Decay Primer Potion prior to applying eyeshadow. I personally do use a concealer more often these days since it helps with evening out my eyelids and I'm a fan of using a single product for multiple purposes.
Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palettes range from about $44-$54 per eyeshadow palette.
Let’s get to the Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette swatches!
The OG palette! The one that started the phenomenon. This is actually not my first Naked Eyeshadow Palette purchase - I bought this when word first came out that the original Naked Eyeshadow Palette was going to be discontinued. It's full of neutral mattes and shimmers with a couple blues to create day looks as well as smoky and sultry evening looks.
*This Naked Eyeshadow Palette has been discontinued.
The Naked 2 eyeshadow palette is neutrals galore and features more shimmers than matte eyeshadows. This palette is fun for those who like adding a bit of shimmer to their looks. Naked 2 is also discontinued but still in stock so do give that a look if you’re into these shades, especially matte eyeshadows!
Like I mentioned in the beginning of this post, Naked 3 is the first Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette I purchased. Naked 3 is definitely in my top 3 favorite Naked Eyeshadow Palettes - the rose hues are right up my alley and look stunning on a wide spectrum of skin tones! I actually purchased 2 extras of these to gift to my mom and a cousin since they expressed how much they enjoyed Naked 3 when they used mine.
Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette includes 12 rose hued neutral shades with mattes, shimmers, metallics, and pearl finishes. This is a great palette for any and all occasions - the shade range is versatile for the most simple looks and extravagant looks for events.

Urban Decay's Naked Smokey is, like the name suggests, has shades to create intense, smokey looks. This Naked Palette is the one I reach for the least since I don't create smokey looks often. I bought Naked Smokey out of excitement when it was on sale and could do without this palette in my collection since my makeup style
*Naked Smokey is discontinued.
Urban Decay's Naked Heat palette is another top 3 favorite eyeshadow palette of mine in the Naked line. Naked Heat delivers all the neutral warm tone and fiery goodness with its burnt oranges and rich siennas. It's also one that flatters all skin tones and has matte shades and shimmers. See my full review of Naked Heat here!
I especially love using this eyeshadow palette during summer and fall seasons - they're perfect for creating rich, orange toned looks for both seasons. See a list of my other favorite eyeshadow palettes for fall makeup looks here!
This Urban Decay eyeshadow palette is also in my top 3 favorite Naked eyeshadow palettes. I did a fun shoot with Naked Cherry when it was first released! The rose golds and rich cherry tones are ones I am obsessed with and also is full of inclusive shades for all skin tones. I have a full review here!
