Consistently Stay Hydrated with these Three Easy Ways

This post may contain affiliate links. See disclosure page for details.

I don't know about you but some days I struggle with staying hydrated by drinking plain water alone. I like to come up with easy and creative ways to get my daily water intake and today I'm sharing a few of my favorite ways to do just that! Staying hydrated is important for many reasons health wise and there are tons of formulas out there that can help you determine what a good daily goal for you is. I personally like to aim for 100 ounces of water a day but definitely do your own research to come up with your own goal.

Where did I come up with 100 ounces as my daily goal? It was from a nutrition program I took several years ago. Prior to that I used the formula that's often shared where your daily goal should be your weight divided by two - the number you get is the number of ounces recommended to drink daily. And prior to doing my own research, I grew up being told 64 ounces is a good ballpark to drink daily. This is just what I've been exposed to but like i mentioned earlier, do your own research and create your own goal! Like many things in life, it's not a one size fits all.

How to Stay Hydrated: Use A Motivational Water Bottle

Sometimes I like using more than a simple cup to drink water from. I really enjoy motivational one I purchased several months ago. It helps me stay on track and comes in so many fun colors + different sizes! I purchased the gallon size without a straw but there is one available with a straw .

I also love cold cups with straws like custom one I purchased from ! Alternatively, you can shop the bottles by clicking the image in the widget below. I linked some other water bottles that are smaller and have fun designs.

How to Stay Hydrated: Infused Water or adding a flavor

Like I mentioned in the beginning of this post, drinking water plain is not always easy, especially with a goal like mine of 100 ounces per day. Some days I like creating infused water recipes or add my own flavoring through products Liquid IV (see coupon code below!) Although I don't use these methods super often, they're great alternatives for fulfilling your hydration goals.

Infused water recipes are a healthy way to add natural flavors to your water while also providing more health benefits than plain water alone! Fun fact: Several of the bottles I linked in this post have built in infuser nets so you can add fresh ingredients straight to your water bottle and sip throughout the day!

A few of my favorite infused water recipes include lemon, mint, ginger, berries, and oranges. The graphic I created shows several infused recipes you can try or use as inspiration to create your own!

The second way I like sprucing up my water is by adding flavor through Liquid IV. I like Liquid IV not only because of the added flavor but also because Liquid IV uses a Cellular Transport Technology to help our bodies absorb water faster and deliver hydration 2-3 times faster than water alone. Simply add one packet to 16 ounces of water, shake or stir, and enjoy! I often add a single packet to more than 16 ounces - mainly because most of my water bottles hold more than 16 ounces.

Liquid IV is non-GMO and free of dairy, gluten, and soy. I lean towards the Hydration Multiplier the most, specifically the acai berry and immune boosting flavors. They offer tons of other flavors as well! I also enjoy the Liquid IV's Energy Booster! Liquid IV was kind enough to give me a coupon code to give you 25% off your order. Using code GLAMOURANDGIGGLES  at checkout will save you 25% off your order.

How to stay Hydrated: Eat Water Rich Fruits and Vegetables

The last way I'm sharing how I stay hydrated today is through foods! LOTS of fruits and veggies out there are rich in water. I eats tons of veggies daily and am doing better in the fruit aspect, which is why I don't beat myself up too much on days I don't reach 100 ounces of water. Some of my favorite water rich foods that help me stay hydrated are watermelon, strawberries, lettuce, zucchini, peaches, tomatoes, and celery. Below is a list of fruits and vegetables that are rich in water to help you stay hydrated. It's not a comprehensive list but a list of great options to keep in mind.
