Happy Friday friends! What better way to kick off the weekend than learning about two easy peasy ways to earn extra cash and gift cards?! If you've been following me for quite some time, you won't be surprised with the two websites I'm about to share. These are methods I've used for YEARS and they have been so great for my wallet!
Some of you may have seen posts like this before and wondered if they're actually work or not and I am so positive they will work for you if you give them a chance. It's important to remember what you gain depends on the amount of time you put in. For example, using these method once a month isn't going to help much BUT you don't need to be putting in hours and hours worth of time daily either.

If you're a huge online shopper like me, you NEED to sign up for Rakuten, formerly Ebates. Whether you shop through your computer, laptop, tablet, or phone, Rakuten will find eligible coupons at checkout AND give you cash back via Paypal or a check! They have thousands of eligible stores you can earn cash back from and they often provide double cash back! Some stores that I personally use the most often are Etsy, Kohls, Ulta, Sephora, Sams, Elf, Groupon, and more! Heck, I even got a nice amount of money from when I bought this domain and became self hosted through GoDaddy! I had no idea they were partnered with Rakuten.
Basically, you get paid for all the shopping you'd normally do. It's SO easy to sign up, trust me - this is coming from a lazy gal. You click here and create an account (100% free!) and start your shopping!
If you want to take it up a notch, I suggest downloading the Chrome Button - this way, I never have to go directly on Rakuten website to see if the store I'm shopping at is partnered with them. A little pop up will show on the top of the screen asking if you want to activate cash back! I also have the app downloaded on my phone and tablet for days I don't shop through my computer.
But wait, THERE'S MORE! If you use my referral link to sign up, you'll get a $30 bonus once you make your first purchase through Rakuten!
Now this is one of those sites where you earn points through various tasks and redeem those points for gift cards, or better yet - PayPal Cash!
Here's what my Swagbucks dashboard looks like on my laptop. They have an app as well if you prefer that - I use both! PS: If you use Swagbucks on your computer, make sure to install Swagbutton, their browser extension. It will make utilizing Swagbucks more efficient - I have more details on it below.
What's different about this one you may ask? This one actually works, or it works well for me as well as dozens of people who have told me themselves after using it! I've tried out DOZENS of sites that claim to do what Swagbucks does but after years and years of testing numerous sites, nothing has given me real results like Swagbucks.
I've been a Swagbucks user for over 10 years now and they fuel quite a bit of my Amazon, Paypal, Sephora, and Starbucks funds! I'll share a few tips to get the most out of Swagbucks below:
These are by far the easiest and fastest Swagbucks you'll earn each day. There will be a "To Do" list on the left side of the screen that will lead you to all your tasks for the day.
If you earn an x amount of SB a day, you'll earn y amount bonus. I'm not sure if it's the same for each person but for me, if I earn 30 SB a day, I'll earn 3 extra SB. If you meet this goal for z consecutive days, you'll get another bonus on top of your daily bonuses!
If you have some free time, I definitely recommend doing these - they're short videos you watch. I always do this when I'm catching up on TV - it's a great way to get closer to your daily bonus!
First, survey's won't always work. In fact, I've only ever been able to complete a handful of surveys in all the years I used Swagbucks. That's just me though, if they do work for you then by all means take full advantage of them!
Second, Swagbucks is a great alternative if you don't want to sign up for Rakuten. I actually use both for shopping since Rakuten may not offer cash back for certain stores while Swagbucks does. Which brings me to my third point..
Lastly, download Swagbutton, Swagbuck's browser extension. It makes using Swagbucks so much more efficient! It works similar to the Rakuten extension where you can opt in to receive cash back when online shopping. However, the Swagbutton has more features and allows you to use Swagbucks faster and more effectively. You can download the Swagbutton here!
Those are the two ways I earn extra money. Remember, amount of money you make depends entirely on you - if you're willing to put in the time, especially for Swagbucks, you can definitely make a good amount of money. I've seen people make thousands each year! However, just a few hours a week can be rewarding!
