Dior Forever Matte Foundation is a lightweight liquid foundation with SPF and medium coverage. It’s a foundation I enjoy using on a day to day basis when I’m looking for more than light coverage as well as a foundation that can be worn during events.
I like medium coverage formulas and sometimes full coverage if I can find a formula that isn’t overly heavy or irritating to my sensitive skin. Speaking of skin, I have sensitive, combination skin and prefer liquid formulas to cream and powder foundations. My complexion is medium with warm undertones, I have my full beauty profile here if you’re interested in seeing other foundation shades I wear.
Forever Matte Foundation by Dior is a liquid formula that gives medium to full coverage with a matte finish. It has SPF 35 and is meant to give a shine free finish from morning to night.
The cost of this Dior foundation is $52 for 1oz and there are 34 shades available, I purchase mine at Sephora. I wear shade 4WO (warm olive).

Forever Matte Foundation is a holy grail of mine. I’ve been consistently using it for several years now and have had a positive experience each time. I shade matched myself to 4 Warm Olive in the store and was pleased to find that it was a shade that matched me perfectly without having to use foundation mixers. The formula of this isn’t too liquidy or thick and it blends like a dream. I like using a damp beauty sponge to apply almost all foundations I use but a foundation brush works great with this formula too.
I use a thin, single layer for day to day use and it does a really good job at covering my redness and any acne scars I try to hide. A single layer gives me medium coverage but if I’m going to an event, I’ll apply another layer to give me that medium to full coverage.
Dior’s Forever Matte Foundation sits well on every primer I’ve tried - here’s about 10 or so of my favorite primers to use! Other makeup products like blush, bronzer, highlighter, setting powder, etc. sit well on top of this foundation. The finish of this foundation is matte but it’s not drying in any way. I have some dry patches and this doesn’t settle into them or my smile lines too much.

This foundation is long wearing on me - I rarely find the need to touch up my makeup when I wear this foundation. The price point is on the heftier side but the results it gives me is well worth the price!
