Covergirl is such a staple! Great review!
COVERGIRL is releasing a new foundation line - TruBlend Matte Made and it includes 40 shades! The way COVERGIRL describes this line, it sounds like a DREAM product. Well to me it does because it claims it has all the qualities I look for in a foundation! I’ve tried this foundation all week and wanted to share my first impressions. Let’s take a look at swatches and learn more about what TruBlend Matte Made offers.

According to COVERGIRL’s Instagram, TruBlend Matte Made is set to hit stores in June but several people have already spotted it in Walgreens.
Like I mentioned above, this foundation has a ton of great claims:
There are 40 shades available in the TruBlend Matte Made line, I will share swatches below. COVERGIRL split them into four categories with 10 shades in each category for easy navigation. The four categories are:
Here are my swatches of the TruBlend Matte Made Foundations. 40 shades with a mix of warm, cool, and neutral undertones. I'm currently the shade T10 Golden Amber!
I’ve worn TruBlend Matte Made several times now, each time with a different primer and different application method.
TruBlend is a light to medium coverage foundation - it evens out my skin but does not cover up my acne scars. I noticed it did minimize my pores slightly but the real highlight for me is the longevity and shine control. I did my usual routine with applying my RCMA powder all over my face but I did not have to blot or re-powder my face throughout the day. I shared one of my wear tests on Instagram Stories - see under highlight “MAKEUP”. My t-zone gets oily within 2-3 hours of wearing most foundations but the shine was very minimal with TruBlend Matte Made. I was able to wear this up to 10 hours without having to re-powder/blot!
As far as longevity is concerned, I was SUPER impressed with how long this wore on my face. 10 hours in and my foundation was still going strong. It didn’t feel greasy at all - it was super comfortable and definitely up my alley since I’m one who prefers and light and medium coverage.
From the five different ways I used this foundation, I have to say I prefer using a beauty sponge and a COVERGIRL primer. My favorite of the four was the Smoothing - I did notice a difference in longevity and application wise compared to the Too Faced Hangover. The Color Neutralizing Primer is the one I’d pass on - it didn’t really do anything for me. As for the Luminizing and Pore Perfecting, I think they’re good but the Smoothing one was the real winner for me!
Are you planning on trying COVERGIRL’s TruBlend Matte Made? Lemme know!
I have always been a Covergirl fan! I need to try these primers. Great post!
