Several months and 78 ColourPop Pressed Shadows later, I finally swatched and played with these babies long enough to give you all a full review. If you're looking to purchase any shadows or looking for swatches with names, look no further! Hopefully these swatches + review will help you decide which shades to add to your collection.

ColourPop Pressed Shadows Review and Swatches - Glamour and Giggles

Code "5PRIYANKA" will get you $5 off your purchase (non-affiliate)!

came out with pressed shadows earlier this year with their Amanda Steele collection. Since then, they released a crazy amount of shades and now even have their own palettes! These shadows cost $4.50  with each pan with 1.5 grams of product. For comparison's sake:

  • Mac shadows cost $6 a pan with each pan with 1.5 grams of product
  • Makeup Geek shadows (regular shadows, not foiled or duochrome) cost $6 a pan and come with 1.8 grams of product
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills shadows cost $12 a pan with each pan with 1.7 grams of product
  • Morphe shadows cost $2.29 a pan with 1.5 grams of product

I did not own many eyeshadow singles prior to the release of these pressed shadows - I was more of a premade palette type of gal!

PS: I'm always asked where I get the magnetic palettes I use to house all my pressed shadows and the answer is, Altair Beauty! They have some really cute designs and a variety of sizes to choose from. What I love is that a lot of their palettes have a mirror inside them so it's perfect for travel! I do have a discount code that will take 15% off your order - it is an affiliate code which means I will make a small amount of money if you decide to use it. The code is GIGGLES and can be used on any of your orders!

Before we get on with the swatches, let's talk about the formula! Some of the shades, mainly the mattes, have a small amount of kickoff. Nothing like the wild ABH shadows but I thought it was worth mentioning. Every shadow I played with has been EXTREMELY creamy and pigmented. They blend like a dream and I really do think they're well worth the $4.50/pan. often has sales so there are opportunities to grab them for a more affordable price!

I do have a pretty nice collection of high end and drugstore palettes and although I do have tons of favorites from those, I reach for these Pressed Shadows very often. In fact, these are the only shadows I travel with! It's so convenient to pick and choose which shades I need and create my own custom palette with the ones I have. I know I can count on the formula and the shade range has pretty much every shade would I need!

OMG, those are fantastic swatches, and so many of them! I have more of the original cream shadows from CP, but I love the few pressed powder ones that I've got so far. I will come back to your post again to check the shades before I buy any more. It's amazing how pigmented those CP shades are. I think they're a steal

  • You are the best swatcher. I do such a lousy job. I'm bookmarking this because I didn't have a clue what the colors would look like. I might have to send you the bill for my hauls though! πŸ™‚

  • WoooooooooooooW!! Not only is that a lot of work, but this is an excellent post to be able to use as a shopping reference. This is great!!! I've looked and looked at their swatches on the website, but you know, it's not like seeing a real person's swatches. Great job!

  • Thank you for this detailed review!Love how you swatched the shades!! I really need these palettes in my life!! I can only imagine the looks I can create with these shades! πŸ™‚
