Almost ordered What If the other day but wanted to see it swatched first! Thanks for the review!
ColourPop is a brand I have a special place for in my heart. In fact, I’d say nearly half my makeup collection is comprised of their products! When they announced they were releasing their Lux Lipsticks, I knew I had to have the entire collection because lipsticks are my FAVORITE beauty product..well lipsticks and highlighters. PS: Code Priyanka5 will take $5 off your order!
I didn’t have much hesitation purchasing the whole bundle..I had a feeling they’d do these lipsticks justice like they did with their other lip products - which I’m a HUGE fan of, especially their Ultra Matte Lips, Ultra Satin Lips, and Lippie Stix. After playing with these for the last week and swatching all 24 shades on my arm and lips, it’s time to give you my full thoughts.
These babies are marketed as a butter blend with a creamy-matte finish! They’re said to be long-wearing and moisturizing on the lips. ColourPop also says these 24 shades are made for everyone.
ColourPop ships worldwide and offers free domestic shipping on orders $30+ and free global shipping on orders $50+. Orders under these thresholds are $5.99 for domestic shipping and $9.99 for global.
PS: I'm wearing the shade "Ghosted" in this photo below!
Lux Lipsticks cost $7 a piece or you can get all 24 for $150 ($168 value!) or the PR kit for $168.
These lipsticks are packaged in rose gold tubes and the bottom of each tube has a sticker with the shade name and each sticker matches the color of the lipstick. A+ for that ColourPop! I always appreciate when brands do this - it makes like so much easier!
I knew I was going to love these because ColourPop rarely disappoints, however, I was not expecting these to blow me away like they did.
First off, the shade range. My experience finding the right pinks, nudes, bright and bold colors has not always been the best with other brands. Rarely anyone gets it right for my warm, medium complexion. Because of that, I wasn’t expecting to be wowed by a bunch of the pinks and nudes..I literally had all these lip liners out and ready in case I had to “make them work”. However, I am SO happy to say that I only found ONE of the TWENTY FOUR shades not wearable for me. Just one! How crazy is that?! If you follow me on Instagram - you probably saw half of my try ons when I was lip swatching these. I was so impressed and so happy to see how POC friendly this collection is!
Secondly, the formula really blew me away. When I saw these were marketed as creamy and moisturizing yet matte and long wearing..I was pretty skeptical. It sounded like a dream come true for what I look for in lipsticks. I tried on a few of the shades for a minimum 8 hours each day and was again, BLOWN AWAY!
Do I recommend these? HELL. YES. If you’re looking for affordable lipsticks that are matte, moisturizing, rich in color, and POC friendly - these are for you! For reference, I’m a MAC NC42 in during Summer and a shade or two lighter during Fall and Winter. I have some of the try ons with my full face saved in my Instagram stories highlights under the category “Makeup” if you’d like a better visual of how they look on medium complexions.
PS: I totally realized I never grabbed the 25th shade - Pinkies Up, a dusty toned mauve chosen by those who voted! Definitely need to pick that one up at some point - it looks so beautiful!
You can check out the collection on ColourPop's website here! Code Priyanka5 will take $5 off your order!
Have you picked these up or do you plan to? Let me know your favorite shades!
layover and Still Crazy are my absolute faves!

I'm going to see P!nk in April and I thought about getting What If. It's soooo pretty and it looks perfect!
That sounds like so much fun! What If would be a perfect choice!!
