Beauty Essentials – What I Keep in my Makeup Bag
Sharing all the beauty essentials I keep in my everyday bag. I often carry a huge tote bag and have a small makeup bag inside with everyday makeup and skincare essentials but will also be sharing the top item I have when using a smaller crossbody or clutch.
I like keeping a few makeup staples in my beauty bag for simple and basic makeup looks as well as a few skincare essentials that I may need to reapply throughout the day.

The first item I always have in my bag regardless it being a makeup bag in a tote/large handbag or a crossbody/clutch:
Lip Balm
Can’t go anywhere without a lip balm, whether it be something like this cute from the BT21 x The Creme Shop Collection or a tinted lip balm – some of my favorites include the one by and . My lips get insanely dry and I like to keep them hydrated at all times. Sharing one more favorite since I love carrying a lip balm with SPF if I know I’m going to be outdoors. Cream Eyeshadow Stick
I love eyeshadow sticks for the ease of applying them and creating effortless stunning looks. I like to keep either a couple Thrive Causemetics or eyeshadow sticks in my purse for days I need to do makeup on the go.
Hand Mirror
For those moments I want to touch up my makeup, see if there’s food stuck in my teeth, etc. The Riki Cutie is such a great one to carry – it’s lightweight, sleek, and has LED lights with multiple settings.
Powder
Keeping a pressed powder is a must for touch ups. Currently I’ve been enjoying ones from , , , and .
Lipstick
Or lip gloss, lip stain, point being, some sort of lip product that’s not a lip balm are hands down one of my favorite lipsticks, everything from the sleek packaging, affordable price point, and number of shades + different formulas – so many reasons to love them! Mascara
For the days I do makeup on the go. I am not a morning person and oftentimes find myself relying on my cosmetics bag to have makeup essentials for me to use for a quick, fresh makeup look. Hand Cream
Gotta keep them hands moisturized! Keeping a good hand lotion is a must and the r has been a favorite of mine for years! Some other ones I enjoy are by , , and .
Sunscreen
SPF is also a must for me. I tend to keep a sample or travel size sunscreen in my makeup bag to reapply for when I’m outdoors. This one is my – I got the sample size in an Ipsy Bag but have used up full sizes of it in the past!
