Anastasia Beverly Hills creates some of my ALL TIME favorite eyeshadow palettes. The formula is on point, the shade ranges are GORGEOUS, and basically, they speak to my soul. Modern Renaissance, Prism, Subculture, and Soft Glam. These are the four that currently make up the ABH eyeshadow palette family. These are in order of my favorite to least favorite.

The reason I love the most is that it’s a softer version of Modern Renaissance. I love MR to death but I have been preferring these shades more lately.

DUO CHROME SHADES (Cube / Electric)
For added intensity, pair with setting spray and apply using small, synthetic brushes. For maximum intensity when using shades dry, apply with natural hair brushes or clean fingertips (if using the palette for self-application).
METALLIC SHADES (Adorn)
For a high-impact metallic finish, pair with setting spray and apply using flat, synthetic brushes or clean fingertips (if using the palette for self-application).
ULTRA-MATTE SHADES (Dawn / Roxy / Destiny / Fudge / All Star / Untamed / Mercury / Edge / Axis / Rowdy / New Wave)
Use dense brushes to deposit color and fluffy brushes to blend edges.
PRIMING
Prime with self-setting or matte-finish primer rather than cream or emollient-based primers. For Duo Chrome and Metallic shades, a shimmer base can also be used to amplify the shadow, like the shimmer side of the Highlighting Duo Pencil.
If using concealer as primer, let it dry and set with powder before applying shadows. Pat or pack on color, and for added intensity, layer over blended shadow.
I remember caused a ton of commotion in the beauty realm for it’s insanely powdery formula that for some, blends out to a weird grey-ish shade, but I actually don’t hate it. It’s not my most used but it works and has beautiful shades, it’s just not a range of colors I’d reach for often compared to Modern Renaissance and Soft Glam. For me, the shades do blend the way I want them to. If you’re interested in buying this palette at a discounted price - check out your local TJ Maxx or Marshalls, there have been tons of ABH sightings there this year and in the last couple weeks, I’ve seen tons of people spot this palette there!
