This Summer heat has me feeling all sorts of ways. Sharing a roundup of products that help me beat the heat as we wait for the weather to cool down!

This roundup features 2 key ways I like to beat the heat: skincare and wellness. A good skincare routine keeps me refreshed through the summer heat while focusing on different wellness activities lets me enjoy the warm summer weather on days it’s not wildly warm.

Tree Hut Sugar Face Scrubs

I love a good skincare routine and even though exfoliating is a must for me year round, I especially like to focus on it during summertime while also focusing on cleansing my pores since the heat combined with summer activities can be rough on skin.

Tree Hut is a family owned and operated brand, is cruelty free and their face scrubs are vegan and paraben free. These face scrubs are made with 100% natural exfoliants to help gently buff away dry skin and impurities. Tree Hut Face Scrubs are also formulated to help hydrate skin as it’s being exfoliated. The natural sugar exfoliant is effective in exfoliating yet gentle as well.

There are 4 different scents available:

Hydrating Watermelon and Cactus Water Sugar Face Scrub - watermelon helps prevent moisture loss and helps with gentle exfoliation while the cactus water has electrolytes and antioxidants to help promote hydration

Brightening Pineapple and Papaya Face Scrub - papaya helps get rid of dull and dead skin while pineapple has Vitamin C to help brighten and even skin tone

Purifying Blueberry & Turmeric Face Scrub - blueberries have Vitamins A and E to help skin smooth and soft while turmeric helps calm, purify, and tone skin.

Nourishing Banana & Oat Face Scrub - banana has Vitamin A which helps restore moisture and nourishes and balances skin while oats help soothe and calm skin.

Insoles from SuperFeet

Summer means more outdoor activities and being active outdoors can be hard on the body, especially your feet so insoles are a must. They’re easy to trim, customize, and insert into your footwear for everyday support.

I try to make sure to use insoles in my walking and running shoes and have the EVERYDAY COMFORT Insoles in my current everyday athletic footwear. The Superfeet Insoles are sculpted for comfort and to provide relief for tired, aching feet and the MEMORYCLOUD Memory foam molds to your foot to create personalized comfort.

HALO On the Go Hydration Powders

Staying hydrated is another must for beating the heat and HALO Hydration makes it easier with their on the go powders. There are two flavors, lemonade and pink lemonade. I like that they’re not overly sweet like how some hydration powders can be.

HALO Hydration is female and minority owned and based in NYC. HALO has a proprietary blend of vitamins, minerals, and trace minerals to help defeat dehydration. It’s low in calories, sugar, and has a refreshing taste! HALO Hydration is formulated with organic lemon juice, natural electrolytes, ionic trace minerals, and powerful immunity boosters, zinc, magnesium, and vitamin C.

The Secret Keeper of Jaipur by Alka Joshi

Summer reading has been a really fun way to beat the heat - whether it be poolside or the comfort of lounging in my home. I love a good read and one of my picks for summer is The Secret Keeper of Jaipur by Alka Joshi.

If you read The Henna Artist (a Reese’s Book Club pick!) you will enjoy The Secret Keeper of Jaipur where henna artist Lakshmi arranges for her young protégé, Malik, to intern at the Jaipur Palace. Their latest project is a state of the art cinema and on opening night, the cinema’s balcony tragically collapses. Blame is put where it is convenient but Malik suspects something darker and sets out to uncover the truth.

Sky Organics Skincare

Like I said when I shared Tree Hut Scrubs above, I love a good skincare routine and targeting different areas for a clear and healthy complexion, especially during the summer heat, is essential.

Sky Organics is also a family company that dedicates to making the goodness of plant-powered and organic ingredients accessible to everyone. Their products are consciously made and responsibly sourced and are cruelty free. Here are a few of their products I want to highlight today:

Blemish Control Clarifying Facial Toner - this toner is made with witch hazel and lavender water to help soothe skin and reduce excess oiliness. Can be used morning and night, each day or as needed to refresh skin and reduce oiliness.

Blemish Control Bentonite Clay Detox Mask - bentonite and kaolin clays are known for their purifying properties that help remove toxins and impurities. The skin soothing aloe vera in this targets the look of blemishes and helps support clearer looking skin. Can be used 2-3 times a week for 15-20 minutes each time.

Blemish Control Spot Serum - this helps target and improve the appearance of blemishes. It’s made with black cumin seed, tea tree oils, white willow bark extract, and a natural salicylic acid alternative - all to help reduce the look of blemishes. Can be used 1-2 times a day to help reduce redness + appearance of blemishes.
